FAQ
Do you bring a second photographer?
We are a two person team! Gailan and Amanda will be with you for your entire day and be there to capture moments you might miss. Throughout the day, we will work together and independently.
How will we receive our photos?
Once your photos are ready, you will receive a link to a password protected online gallery that has all of the finished photos from your wedding day for you to view and download.
Are you willing to travel?
Definitely! Travel fees are applied if we are traveling outside of our central Virginia market area, which is charged both ways. Destinations that exceed two hours driving time each way may require overnight accommodations. Please inquire with us to work out the details.
How do we book our date?
We can only reserve your date after receiving a signed contract and deposit. We typically book at least 6 months in advance of your wedding date. As most couples tend to have their wedding on a Saturday these are the days that book out the quickest. Certain Fridays and Sundays are available each season, please inquire for availability.
How long will it take to receive our photos?
We know you can't wait to see your photos! This is why you will receive a sneak peek the week after your wedding! The rest of your gallery will be delivered within around 2 months depending on our workload.
How do you describe your style?
We describe our style as timeless and authentic, with an occasional editorial, magazine-inspired touch. Throughout the wedding day, our approach is relaxed and unobtrusive, but we’ll gently step in when we see an opportunity for a beautifully composed moment you’ll want to remember.
Our editing style blends warmth, contrast, and brightness, with a subtle lean toward a moodier, more refined finish.
Will you share our images online?
While we love to share our work online and reserve the right to use your wedding images for our marketing purposes, we are happy to discuss with you to determine your comfort level with us sharing on social media or our website.
Do you provide video services?
Not at this time. We have honed our craft as photographers and strongly feel it is important to solely focus on capturing your images during the day. We have recommendations for dedicated videographers, please let us know if you’d like us to connect you!
Can you recommend other local vendors (planners, florists, venues, etc.)?
Yes, we have a vendor recommendation list that we would be happy to share with you! Ask about it on your consultation and we will send it along with your quote.
Do you help with creating a photo timeline?
We offer timeline curation, which is usually a call with either you or your wedding planner about a month before the wedding. During this call, we will go over the flow of the day and make sure your photography needs can be covered in the allotted time.
